Popular rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, known as Odumodublvck, has sparked controversy by declaring John Mikel Obi the greatest Nigerian footballer of all time.
Taking to his official page on the popular microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Odumodublvck, the "Declan Rice" hitmaker, tweeted: “Mikel Obi is the greatest Nigerian footballer of all time.”
Odumodublvck’s tweet sparked mixed reactions from fans and football enthusiasts. While some agreed, others strongly disagreed, citing legends like Rashidi Yekini, Nwankwo Kanu, Jay-Jay Okocha, Stephen Keshi, and Christian Chukwu as greater players.
One user, @GideonGeorge, countered, “Mikel is not the greatest but the most successful; the greatest is Okocha.”
Another, @mmakachi, added, “You know what 'greatest' means? He’s not even near Stephen Keshi or Chairman Christian Chukwu.”
@OddFeature__ remarked, “On paper, with stats, perhaps. But on the pitch, it can only be one answer: ‘He was so good they named him twice’... Thank you, sir, for your time ππ½.”
