Fuji Icon Saheed Osupa Drops Cyberstalking Charges Against Portable
Controversial Nigerian singer, Badmus Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been freed after Fuji legend Saheed Osupa officially withdrew his cyberstalking case.
Court Withdrawal Confirmed
The case, filed at the Upper Area Court 1, Ilorin, was officially terminated on Tuesday. According to Ahmed Opalekunde, counsel to Osupa, the decision followed pleas from stakeholders in the music industry who called for peace.
"Our client decided to settle the matter amicably for the sake of public peace," Opalekunde said in a statement to The PUNCH Online.
Background: How the Case Began
The Kwara State Police Command had earlier arraigned Portable after receiving a direct complaint from Osupa. The petition accused Portable of:

πΉIntimidation
πΉInciting public disturbance
πΉCyberstalking
These offences violated several laws, including:
πΉSections 392, 114, and 397 of the Penal Code
πΉSections 24(1)(b), 24(2)(c) of the Cybercrimes Act (2015)
πΉSections 10 and 13 of the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Law (2020)
Allegations Against Portable
Osupa claimed Portable went live on Instagram on March 19, 2025, and made defamatory statements. In the viral clip, Portable said:
"This man dey try to bring down my shine! He be like person wey dey chop snail with shell—him no get sense. Osupa na tortoise."
He also alleged that Osupa removed his songs from Apple Music and Spotify, a claim that was proven false but affected Osupa’s public image and business.
Settlement Terms & Warning
Despite settling, Osupa's team included a stern caution in the withdrawal letter, urging Portable to refrain from future defamatory comments. The letter stated:
"We pray the court to admonish and warn the defendant to desist from any further acts aiming at disparaging our client."
Portable’s Bail Conditions
Portable had earlier been granted N1 million bail, with two sureties—one of whom must be a PMAN chairman, and another with property in the GRA.
