Uzor Arukwe’s Marriage and Family
Uzor Arukwe, who rose to fame with his role in Sugar Rush (2019), is married to Barbara Boyd-Arukwe. Despite his undeniable on-screen chemistry with BamBam, which has sparked fan admiration, Uzor’s private life remains low-key. Reports suggest the couple has been together since 2016, with old family photos surfacing online.
Barbara’s social media bio on Facebook reads, “God 1st, Blessed, Superwoman, Wife, Mother, Business Woman,” and her LinkedIn profile shows her as the Chief Operating Officer at Sports World Nigeria, with a background in human resources and retail management.
A Private Family Life
Barbara Boyd-Arukwe, who is tall and light-skinned, has largely stayed out of the limelight, despite Uzor’s growing popularity. According to Uzor’s personal Facebook profile, he rarely shares posts about his wife or children, choosing instead to keep his family life private. Although Uzor Arukwe keeps his family life private, his profile does include mentions of close family members, such as his wife, Barbara, as well as his brother, Ebuka Arukwe, and cousins Alvan Chimere Okechukwu and Chiedozie Ojinnaka.

In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Uzor explained his choice, saying, “I deliberately kept my family away from my work. I didn’t want them to live under public scrutiny and wanted to allow them to lead normal lives.”
